Description:
A charming and very rare example of a bear jug in Whieldon type colours, slightly risqué in that the spout could be construed as a part of the animal's anatomy! The bear's muzzled head can be removed to fill the vessel whilst the contents can be poured through the spout, to shrieks of delight all round.
Circa 1800
Approx - 6.5 inches (165mm) tall.
In very good condition save typical, minor paint losses.
